Lucas and Nadira didn't have a promising beginning, a misunderstanding led to a couple enforced dates that ended in ruin, leaving a relieved Lucas and devastated Nadira-- not for him, but for the idea of being with him and everything that came with it. No one would have imagined them ever having a relationship, they seemed more than happy to say goodbye.

We don't see them together until a year later, when Lucas enlists Nadira's help with the problem in the past. How much they've seen of each other since isn't clear, but a remark from Nadira tells us that Lucas had everything to do with helping her get a good job and start a new life in the future. They share a couple looks, but it isn't until the crisis in the past is avoided that they get some time to themselves. We don't see what happens after they walk off together, hand in hand, but it seems to be the start of something special.
